Default How can a R/Mo farm/mob?

I am a 20 R/Mo and i am having trouble to farm/mob, first of i dont know the best place for R/Mo to make money, 2nd off, i hear traping is best way but
What does it take to be a good traper?, When i trap and try to lure monsters in i end up forgetting where the trap was.

So if anyone can give me advice that be helpful.

So far my skill set up is
1.Barrage
2.Huntershot
3.Favorable Winds
4.Flame trap
5.Barbed Trap
6.Dust trap
7.Stormchaser
8.Troll Unguent

10 in expertise, 12 in Wilderness Survial, and 14 in Marksmanship, 446HP, and 31 Energy, and i am using Ivory Bow of Enchanting (15-28dmg) and Enchentments last 10% longer

So if anyone can give me advice how to mob/farm with a R/Mo it will be really helpfull. Also i want to do this Solo or the best way to make money

I'd say that you'd need to trap and smite. Although I'm no ranger expert, I do know a thing or two about monks.

Heres what you oughta do:
12 Smiting Prayers
10 Healing Prayers
8 Wilderness Survival
Skills: Troll Unguent, Orison of Healing (or Healing Touch), Balthazar's Aura , Symbol of Wrath, Zealot's Fire, Flame trap, Barbed Trap, and then Dust Trap.

Begin by laying down your traps and then casting Zealot's Fire, going all three maybe once or twice would be nice. Then pull your enemies (use a smite/healing rod and focus, you'll need mana more than bow damage). Once they're ontop of your traps, cast Balthazar's Aura and Symbol of Wrath and begin healing.

Everytime you cast a spell on youself you'll be dealing damage with Zealot's Fire. Add that damage to the traps, and the AoE damage from Balth's and Symbol; You'll be doing some major damage.

That should work alright, but you'll have to fine tune the build.

i wish when playing a ranger, it would say on your mini map or something where the hell the trap is, i hate forgetting where i keep it

rangers arent meant to farm mobs but i think think this built will work.
shielding hands
barrage
favorable winds
mending
healing breeze
tigers fury
lightning reflexes
serpents quickness

high expertise to spam barrage(10)
high marksman ship to meet ur bow req.
8healing pray
and the remaning points is up to u
the main point of this build is to spam as much barrage as possible while trying to keep urself alive for a certain period of time.
(never tried it, just a suggestion.)
trapper suks man. it usually does not kill efficiently. unless u are with like 7other rangers.

Try this build. It mainly focuses on keeping the enemy constantly blinded if at all possible.

6marks+1rune=7 (this is for the requirement for oath shot. it says that its expertise but it is actually marksmanship)
12wilderness+1rune+1hat=14
11expertise+1rune=12

Oath Shot
Dust Trap
Barbed Trap
Flame Trap
Throw Dirt
Troll Ungent
Serpent's Quickness
Whirling Defence

Bascically you lure your mobs which should only melee into a previously placed dust trap blinding them all. Then, hit serpent's quickness and drop a barbed trap followed by a flame trap, and then another dust trap. Use Oath Shot, use flame, barbed,dust. As you wait for oath shot to recharge, use throw dirt if necessary if the blind from dust trap runs out. Then, repeat as necessary.

I can farm up to as far as sanctum cay (solo the mission) with my R/Mo...
Deserts have to many poisons and hexes and stuff.

Trapping usually comes in groups, look around TOA for UW trapper groups.
